Alberto Burri’s relationship with fire is a fusion of creative inspiration and scientific knowledge. The artist has always sought to delve into how fire consumes, understanding the nature of combustion and how everything can live and die within it, forming a perfect unity. To create his works, Burri first needs a surface on which to compose. Subsequently, he places the plastic and burns it, but nothing is left to chance. Everything is carefully controlled and mastered, creating a highly controlled and controllable form of painting. The ability to master the technique is essential to control the material and bring his compositions to life.
