A series of underwater photographs by Giuseppe La Spada.
In this artwork, the artist narrates the hidden love, in its purest form, concealed by appearances. The authenticity of a feeling veiled from the first impression that arises when observing two young lovers on the street. The focus is on their faces, their initial expressions: no one can gauge the direction of their bodies, the non-verbal language that exists beneath the surface of their faces. The true value lies beneath the skin of first impressions. The reality of a feeling resides in the submerged sea, in the unspoken communication concealed by that body. Only the lovers know the unspoken words. The photographer shows us what they truly are. Genuinely, below the visible surface. Underwater.
