The same logic of multiple use also underlies this piece. The table, in fact, doubles as a lamp. Flattened forks of different materials (steel, aluminum, silver) are embedded into its surface , immersed in resin that offers durability and washability, making the table suitable for everyday use. The two different layers of the tabletop are finished with a stainless steel perimeter band. The tabletop is securely attached to the supporting base through a dedicated fixing seat. The base, on the other hand, consists of a plexiglass column covered with an aluminum mesh that contains a properly secured neon lamp inside. In this artwork, the forks abandon their symbolic sphere of food and kitchen to become instruments of memory.
